The employer will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates.

About the Role
This is a structural welding role for a tradesperson who wants to put their hands on serious work — crane booms, heavy vehicles, and compliance-grade structural rebuilds. You'll work a Monday to Friday day shift from a Murarrie workshop, with occasional field service and project site travel that's always planned, agreed in advance, and fully expensed. The standards are high. The training is real. The workflow is consistent.

Duties
  • Structural welding and fabrication on cranes, heavy vehicles, and mobile equipment
  • Boom and structural repairs to compliance and engineering standards
  • Workshop fabrication, rebuilds, and quality-driven finishes
  • Support field service across Brisbane metro and occasional project sites
  • Complete a structural weld test as part of the process — this confirms capability and matches the work to your level
Skills & Experience
  • Certificate III — Boilermaker / Fabricator (or equivalent trade background)
  • Solid structural welding — MIG and flux core essential; TIG a bonus
  • Background in heavy vehicles, cranes, mobile plant, or structural fabrication
  • White card (construction induction); HR/MR licence, EWP, or forklift a plus
  • Detail-focused, physically capable, and committed to safe workmanship
Benefits
  • $40–$52 per hour based on trade experience and structural welding capability
  • Overtime available at premium rates — not mandatory
  • Travel fully covered when working away — flights, accommodation, meals, daily allowances
  • Permanent full-time employment — not labour hire, not contract
  • Monday to Friday day shift — 38-hour standard week
  • Trade training & Certifications as required to help upskill and develop
  • Modern, well-maintained Murarrie workshop — recently refitted facility
